"gab! anong ginagawa mo dito? " maribeth asked and still have this shocked expression on her face.
" umm.. i was just checking spencer if he's okay but since you were here i think he's already okay. "
it was very awkward after gab spoke when he suddenly walked out of the room.
" gab! saan ka pupunta? gab! " maribeth shouted and was about to follow gab when spencer held her hand.
" are you going to follow him? "
" oo! ano ka ba? nasaktan si gab dun sa nakita nya. "
" well, it's his fault that he came in here. "
" bahala ka nga dyan. susundan ko muna si gab. kailangan kong mag explain. "
" why do you have to explain?! and i'm gonna be alone here! "

before spencer could speak again, maribeth ran out of the door. he was left there wondering who does maribeth really likes.
gab who was about to go inside his car, heared maribeth calling him. when he looked back, he saw maribeth running towards him.
" gab! sandali lang! " she said and stopped in front of him.
" sorry pala dun sa nakita mo kanina... si spencer kasi eh... " she added.
" no. it's okay. "
" gab, alam ko na yung ganyang palusot. sorry na nga! "
" hahaha okay. i'll accept your apology if sasama ka sa akin mag lunch today. tara? "
" ha? ah.. eh... sige! kukuhanin ko lang yung gamit ko "
" alright. i'll wait for you " he said flashing his sweet smile.
maribeth went back to the room and she saw spencer looking at her.
" what? " she asked. spencer can't help not to smile because of her facial expression.
" why are you so masungit? " he smilingly said but his smile faded away when maribeth took her bag from the other bed.
" umm... may trabaho kasi ako ngayon eh. sige alis na ako! bye! ingat ka na lang! " she said and walked out.
" something's going on.. " he said after maribeth left.
when gab saw maribeth coming, he hurriedly opened the door for her and that made her smile. after that, they headed to gab's favorite restaurant. where else? fiestarrific!
" oh betchay! off mo ngayon di ba? ba't ka nandito? at ba't kasama mo 'tong si gab? may date kayo ano? " saicy asked.
" grabe kang mag tanong ha! easy lang! eh etong lalaking 'to nagyaya na dito daw kami kumain ng tanghalian. syempre di ko naman matanggihan so sumama na ako "
" ahh.. paano si spencer? sino kasama nya dun? "
upon hearing " that " name, gab's face became blank. maribeth elbowed saicy and said " may kasama na yun dun! "
" hanap na tayo ng mauupuan " gab said and maribeth just followed him.
they sat in the table near the window because they think that it's kinda of bright there and sort of refreshing.
" maribeth, what food do you want? "
" ito.. ito.. ito.. and ito " she said while pointing at the foods on the menu.
gab called the waitress and told their order.
" sup brahw? " franco said and while walking towards spencer
" sup! " spencer replied and shook hands with his cousin
" oh ba't ganyan ang mukha mo? "
" when am i gonna go out of this room? it's really boring here! "
" tinanong ko na yung doktor, pwede ka na daw lumabas ngayon pero careful daw! "
" finally and yes, i will be careful. by the way, how's marc? is he okay now? "
" oo. gising na nga eh! gusto mong puntahan? teka.. teka.. ba't wala kang kasama dito? akala ko ba si maribeth nag aalaga sayo? "
" well she said she have work today. "
" work? spencer niloloko mo ba ako? ikaw na din ang nagsabi na day off ni maribeth kapag martes. "
when spencer heared what franco said one thing came up on his mind... " she went somewhere!! ". franco tapped his cousin when he saw that spencer looks like he's day dreaming.
" ok ka lang? iniisip mo na naman si maribeth ano? " franco teasingly said.
spencer gave him a fake smile and told him " maybe " he was thinking of maribeth.
" alright let's go to marc's room! " he said.
marc's room ( in the hospital )
" bro! " spencer shouted and was about to give this "bro" shakehands with marc when he realized that there's bandage on marc's arm.
" nevermind. " he said and just tapped marc's shoulder.
" heared that you're okay now! that's good. you know you made us worried."
" hahaha! well sorry about that. ikaw? buti ok ka na! "
" yeah! just got an asthma attack. nothing to worry about. "
" narinig ko inalagaan ka daw ni maribeth! ayiiii! sweet! "
" yeah she did. but she left suddenly. i dont know where she went. "
" try mong tawagan "
" already did. but she never answer it. i should look for her. she's making me worry! gosh! "
franco and marc laughed when they heared what spencer said.
" baliw ka na talaga sa kanya! sige na! hanapin mo na! " marc said and telling him to go away.
" do you like the food? " gab asked while staring at maribeth while she was eating.
" of course! alam ko kung masarap 'to or hindi! aba kami kaya nagluluto nito! "
gab pinched maribeth's nose that made her very curious.

gab held maribeth's hands that made maribeth stop from eating.
" no really. you're cute! you don't like compliments? "
she took her hands away from him and slapped his arm playfully.
" aray! " gab said and was still smiling. maribeth could only laugh at gab who was giving him his fake " hurt " expression
at that time, spencer who hid behind the tree saw the Maribeth-Gab moment. it made him very jealous, of course. who wouldn't be? the girl he love is with someone else. spencer let out a big sigh. it's like the biggest sigh he let out for a very very long time.

saicy was surprised when she saw spencer came in. she even murmured " lagot ".
" ahh... eh... " saicy couldn't say that the two were only near spencer. but before she could find the words on what to tell him, he looked back and saw gab and maribeth.
" oh hello there. " he said and flashed his fake smile.
" spencer... " maribeth said.
" i thought you have a duty today? "
" i.. i could explain... "
" no! it's okay! it's okay! i'm just here to order foods for marc. "
spencer went to the counter and told his order. he ordered the foods him and maribeth always order and it breaks his heart more.
" damn, spencer what the hell are you doing to yourself.. " he said to himself.
saicy gave his order and when he reached the door he looked at maribeth again and luckily she was also looking at him.
he just flashed his smile and walked out.
maribeth looked who at spencer go inside his car and drove away. she didn't noticed that gab went near her and genlty tapped her back.
" you okay? " gab worriedly said. he could see that maribeth is very upset on what happened.
" i'm sorry. this is my fault. i'm being unfair. "
" unfair? ano ka ba? it's not your fault! ok lang yun! ako yung may kasalanan eh.. "

when they reached maribeth's home, she went inside her room. she couldn't stop thinking of spencer.
" ugh, maribeth! tanga mo talaga! nakakaawa naman si spencer ihh! kainis naman 'to! " she said to herself.
she looked at the ceiling when she remembered the blue stuff toy, botchog. she took it looked at it. it's like she wants to talk to him.
" bes! nandyan ka ba? bes! " troy shouted. maribeth was caught off guard. she then stood up and went downstairs.
" oh bes! akala ko ba mamaya ka pa uuwi? "
" oo nga eh. inaantok ako at tsaka ang dami ng taong nandun mamaya na lang ako babalik. ikaw? ba't ka nandito? si spencer nasa ospital pa ahh! "
" ha? eh nakita ko sya kanina sa fiestarrific! sabi nya ibibili daw nya ng pagkain si marc! "
" anong sinasabi mo dyan? eh nung pagdating ko dun sabi nila umalis daw si spencer tapos hanggang ngayon di pa naman sya bumabalik! "

maribeth went to spencer's house just to check if he's there and she was hoping he is.
" amm sino po sila? " the maid asked
" umm nandyan po ba si spencer? "

the maid hurriedly went to spencer's room.

spencer stood up quickly and went downstairs. when he was at the gate he saw maribeth. he smiled very sweet while walking towards her.

" spencer! " maribeth said and hugged spencer.
at first, spencer was surprised but few seconds later he hugged back. at that moment maribeth realized that she was hugging him so she stopped.
" sorry " she said and looked down. spencer was about to hold maribeth's chin when she suddenly slapped him out of nowhere
" ouch! what was that for?! "
" gago! akala ko ba para kay marc yung binili mo kanina! sabi ni troy di ka naman daw bumalik sa ospital! "
" nag worry ka ba sa akin? aww maribeth tamayo i'm touched! "
" gusto mo hampasin kita uli? "
" hey, you lied to me earlier. you said you have work! "
" about dun.. sorry na nga! di ko kasi matanggihan si gab kanina! alam mo na nagtampo din yun sa akin di ba?"
" yeah like i didn't... when you left me in the hospital...alone. good thing franco came... an hour after you left! "

spencer said walked away. he murmured " yes! " while walking back to his bedroom. while maribeth was irritated at the same time happy.
" bahala na, bukas! aja betchay! aja! " she said and walked home.
" uy spencer! gising na! tara na dun sa ospital! bili! " franco said trying to wake spencer up.
" why? i'm still sleepy.. mamaya na lang " he said and put a pillow on his face.
" di ba sosorpresahin natin si marc? yung... yung sasayaw sina ara! bilisan mo na! "

" hello? betchay? ba't napatawag ka? saicy asked. she was wondering why maribeth is calling her early in the morning. unless.... she needs something.
" saicy! kailangan ko ng tulong mo! " maribeth replied
" sabi ko na nga ba eh! oh eh ano ba yun? "
" pwede bang pumunta ka dito mamayang hapon? "
" sige.. pero bakit? anong meron? "
" eh.. kasi.... si ... spencer sabi nya may dinner date ba yun.... mamaya.. "

it was spencer's turn to look over marc since his friends and family went home. they were playing fruit ninja on franco's ipad.
" so okay na ba kayo ni maribeth? " marc asked who was still focused on the game.
" yeah.. i asked her to go on a dinner date with me tonight. " spencer replied and smirked.
marc stopped and looked at him. while spencer's brow raised and asked " what? " upon seeing marc's shocked at the same time curious expression.
" weh? di nga? " marc asked. it's like spencer is torpe that he can't believe he can ask a girl out.
" i'm serious! what's up with your reaction? " spencer replied.
" hahaha! nice one bro! just surprised that you can make her say yes to a date. " marc said and laughingly tapped spencer's shoulders.
" i know right! " spencer said and they both focused on the game that they're playing.
because it was after lunch when maribeth went to the market, she got home nearly evening cause she bought lots of things. when she came home she saw saicy sitting in the couch and was obviously waiting for her.
" oh saicy! ang aga mo ata? alas singko lang oh! mamaya pang alas otso yung lakad ko " maribeth said
" oy betchay! kailangan mong maging maganda! para lalong mabighani si spencer sa'yo! boto ata ako sa kanya para sa'yo no! "
" ahh! kaya pala kung makatanong ka kahapon tungkol kay spencer kulang nalang isigaw mo sa pagmumukha ni gab ang pangalan ngpayatot na yun! "
" uy, over ka naman! sya nga pala! dala ko ang aking make up kit! nasaan ang isusuot mo? "
" mag papatanlon at t shirt na lang siguro ako " maribeth said while putting the foods that she bought on the table.
saicy can't help not to say " ano?! " and stood up.
" baliw ka ba?! kailangan naka dress ka! anong pantalon at t shirt ang pinagsasabi mo dyan? aattend ka ba ng birthday? friend! wag mong kalimutan date ang pupuntahan mo! date betchay! date! "
" oo na! date pupuntahan ko! di mo naman kailangan ulit ulitin yun eh. ang problema wala akong dress at sapatos! "
" ay walang problema! sabi ko na nga ba eh! tama lang pala na dalhin ko ang dress at sapatos ko. tyamba ka 'te! dahil magka size tayo, papahiramin kita!"
" salamat ha! "
" ikaw pa! " saicy said and hugged maribeth.
" oh anong meron dito? " tatay mel asked when he saw the two girls hugging each other.
" ahh, wala po tay. "
" may pupuntahan ka ba, anak? "
" tay, di ba sinabi ko na po sa inyo? "
" ay, oo nga pala. akala ko yung kasama mo mamaya yung si gab weys. "
" tay, weiss po. at tsaka si spencer po yung kasama ko "
" oh sya sige. mag iingat ka ha! aalis na ako " tatay mel replied.
when her father left, saicy asked her again.
" oh ready ka na ba sa make over mo betchay? " saicy asked excitingly.
maribeth smiled and nodded at saicy while she (saicy) was so excited to give maribeth a make over.
after almost an hour she finished doing some finishing touches on her face. when saicy looked at her again, she can't believe her friend can be this beautiful.
" taray mo 'te! ganda mo! oh isuot mo na ang dress at sapatos! excited na ako!! " saicy said
" atat ka naman masyado! sige na! nasaan na ba yung damit at sapatos na yun? ng matigil ka na sa katitili mo dyan! " maribeth asked. when she went inside her room to changed, she looked at herself in the mirror. she can't believe what she was seeing. she looks different with make up on. well, because she don't usually wear make up on a daily basis. she then started to put the dress on and after that she put her shoes.
saicy who was waiting on the living room can't really wait to see her friend. for her, one' thing's for sure... spencer's gonna jaw drop! she then suddenly heared a door opening and when she looked at maribeth's bedroom door, there she saw her.
" potcha, betchay! nakakatibo ka! " saicy said.
" loka ka na talaga! "
" aba! totoo kaya! nakita mo na ba ang sarili mo sa salamin? oh eto oh! " she said and pulled maribeth towards the mirror.
" asus naman! " maribeth said.
it was already 10 more minutes 'til 8pm, spencer was already ready for their date. he really can't wait what maribeth looks like right now.
" i bet she's like a goddess right now! " spencer said to himself. he can't stop smiling just imagining how lovely she can be.
his yaya knocked on the door and told him to be quiet because his tita could hear him talking to himself.
" yes po. tell tita i'm sorry. " spencer said and gave puppy eyes to his yaya.
" sige sasabihin ko na. papacute ka pa dyan " she said and closed the door again.
spencer rolled his eyes and said " tita is sucha killjoy ". after making himself more pogi, he went downstairs and headed to his car. before he picks up maribeth, he made sure that he brought flowers for her.
" well this is your night, spencer! " he said and drove away.
after exchanging goodbyes, saicy went near the door when she said one more thing.
" naku!! kwento mo bukas ang mangyayari mamaya ha! wag selfish!! sige babush na friend! papagalitan pa ako ng aking tatay kapag hindi pa ako umuwi! sige na ha! " saicy said. at the same time spencer was about to knock on the door when saicy opened it.
" hi saicy " spencer greeted.
" betchay! prince charming mo nandito na! " she shouted and looked at spencer again " and you! make sure mag eenjoy si betchay sa date nyo ha! sige mauna na ako! bye! " she said. spencer just waved at her before she left.
" oh spencer nandito ka na pala " maribeth said with a smile on her face.
spencer can't believe it. he knew he's going to be surprised on what's maribeth going to look like. but this was beyond his expectations.
" damn, she's gorgeous! " he said to himself. he went back to reality, when he heared maribeth snapping her finger.
" huy! " she said
" oh. sorry! oh yeah, flowers for you! it's not sampaguita anymore " he laughed and gave the flowers.
" hahaha pansin ko nga.. salamat! ano tara na? "
" let's go! "
they went to this garden. well it's not an ordinary garden. there's a mini swamp with a mini bridge and not that far is a table full of food. maribeth can't take her eyes off the lights that were hanging on the trees. she was mesmerized by the garden's beauty.
" ganda naman dito " she said.
spencer was just staring at maribeth who was still looking around the garden.
" you like it here? " he asked.
" of course, i do " she said and looked at spencer.
they looked at each other for awhile when spencer remembered something.
" be right back! i need to get something! " he said and ran out of the garden.
maribeth was confused and just waited. she went near the mini swamp and sat on the mini bridge. she was entertained by just looking at the fishes swimming when she heared his voice again.
" maribeth "
" let's go eat " he said and offered his hand just to make sure she won't fall when she get off the bridge.
maribeth held it and said " thank you "
when they went to the table maribeth almost jaw drop when she saw the foods.
" oh my god! favorites ko lahat to ahh. paano mo nalaman? " she asked and was still looking at the foods
" i have my sources, maribeth " he said and gave his boyish smile.
he pulled the chair for her before he sat on the other side of the table. when they started eating spencer can't help not to glare at maribeth. on the other side, maribeth was just busy eating her food and not minding him glaring at her.
she was standing on the mini bridge again. they were already done eating. she was looking at the fishes swimming on the mini swamp when she noticed something sparkling on the water. she eventually called spencer to asked what it was.
" spencer! spencer! halika dito! " she shouted.
" what is it? " spencer asked.
" ano yun? yung kumikislap dun sa tubig? " she asked again while pointing at the water.
" ohh.. those! the caretakers here call this swamp as the " magic/wishing swamp " they said if you throw a coin on the water there's a possibility that your wish will come true! wanna try? "
maribeth flashed her sweet smile to spencer and said " oo! ". both of them were already holding a coin. they both looked at each other and said " ikaw muna! "
" you know, i'm a gentleman! you go first "
" hindi ikaw dapat! ladies first! " maribeth said and laughed and slapped spencer lightly
" you're funny. let's do it at the same time na lang! "
maribeth agreed. both of them closed their eyes and think of a good wish. spencer was already done thinking his wish. he opened his left eye and looked at maribeth. she was still closing her eyes. she felt uneasiness so she opened her eyes and looked at spencer who was closing his eyes.
" that was close! " spencer told himself. finally he opened his eyes and counted 1 to 3 before throwing the coin. after that, they both laughed.
" sana magkatotoo yung wish natin " maribeth said
" i wish! " spencer said agreeing to what maribeth said.
spencer's face became serious again. she noticed that he was like finding something on his pocket. spencer took maribeth's hand and put the silver bracelet with heart pendants on her wrist.
maribeth who was still surprised smiled at him. spencer took her other hand and held it at the same time, he looked at her.
" maribeth, i... i just want to say that you made me the happiest man in the world. i know it's corny but it's true. and i'm also sorry for being makulit yesterday at the hospital... you know i'm only like that when you're around right? anyways, i want you to know that i... i.... i love you. it's okay to me that you will not answer it for now cause i know there's another guy who is courting you also. i'm just telling you what i really feel about you. " he said looking to her eyes. maribeth was touched by what he said. she know he really meant all he said because she could see the sincerety in his eyes.
maribeth held his face and looked at him. she smiled and that made him smile also.
" thank you din kasi kahit masungit ako mabait ka pa rin sa akin " she said. she didn't noticed that spencer's hand were already on her waist. as he moved closer and closer, maribeth felt like she's going to fall so she put her hands around his neck.
finally, their lips met. it was maribeth's first kiss. maribeth thought that she was dreaming and when she opened her eyes, she saw him kissing her lips. she want to take her lips away from him but she can't. it's like their lips are glued together. spencer smiled when he took his lips way from her and she can't help not to blush. spencer held her chin so he could look at her eyes directly. seems like there's magnet attracting both of them to be closer at each other again and there, he claimed her lips again. it was the sweetest moment indeed.
